I hate this, so I'm going to quickly move on. The only good thing in these photos is Broughton.

Daily Outfit - Jen - 01/26/11

Don't I look French, today! Except that a French woman would probably be a size 00, and I am a size... oh, what's that over there?

I had to ask my husband how these hats are worn. I am THAT clueless. This, my friends, is precisely why I blog on Two Closets. Hopefully I don't look too ridiculous, because that will be a total disservice to the superb craftsmanship of my darling Kate. This deep purple is my color, and she knew that when she was thinking of my cold head and hands. (Kate, I still can't believe you made these for stinkin' ole me! In awe of your talent! Love! Sorry for being so creepy when I called you! Should I move this conversation to email! Okay!)

I would be remiss if I didn't brag on these gorgeous earrings. You know how Kate is always wearing awesome jewelry that her cutie momma makes? Now I can wear awesome jewelry by her cutie momma, too! Thanks so much!

Daily Outfit - Kate - 12/21/10

I got a compliment on my scarf tie at work today.

It was pretty awesome.

And now if you'll excuse me, I need to go eat peanut butter fudge and watch The Wizard of Oz.

It's tough being me.

Daily Outfit - Kate - 11/30/10

Behold, my masterpiece:

OK not really but doesn't that at least sound impressive?

I did like this outfit, though - it was a great and cozy color palette, with the cheerful orange pashmina, teal turtleneck and colorful plaid skirt. Yep, this is about as bold as I ever get.

Daily Outfit - Jen - 2/1/10

This weekend, my friend, Thao, and I went shopping. I told her that I was in desperate need of cute, semi-dressy, (and most importantly) functional shoes for work. After all, I have vowed not to wear my Uggs this month, so this is SERIOUS BUSINESS, folks.

We looked everywhere! DSW, Aldo, Nordstrom, Macy's, Steve Madden (that store will make you feel like an old lady like that *snaps fingers*), Nine West... you name it, we tried it. I felt like such a failure. Even when I found a pair of shoes for real life (i.e. not work), they had one size too big and one size too small, but not my size. The trip was a bust. Correction: almost a bust. Check out the super cute coat I picked up.

I'm pretty obsessed with it.

Daily Outfit - Jen - 1/29/10

Thank dog it's Friday! That stinker is Dimitri. Say hello to Dimitri, everybody!

This was my second attempt at doing a fancy scarf tie, and I think I'm getting closer to what it's actually supposed to look like.

I love this coat. I loved it so much that I didn't care that it was not in my size. It was the last one left, and if I couldn't have it, I was determined that NO ONE COULD. I was so smitten that I paid real money for it to a store that I loaaatthhheee.

Cutie green coat, I love you!

Daily Outfit - Jen - 1/27/10

What went through my head when my alarm went off this morning: "Am cold. Do not want to get up."

What went through my head when I put this outfit together: "Am cold. Must go to work. Dress comfortably. Wear bright colors. Will distract everyone from what's going on waist-down."

Today, I tried the new scarf tie that Kate linked the other day. Me thinks I did it incorrectly, but I still dig it. And by I "dig it," I mean I am insanely obsessed with it.

Daily Outfit - Jen - 1/22/10

Well, shit. I'm pretty sure I looked in the mirror before leaving the house this morning. Casual Friday just became Frumpy Friday.

Note to self: brush your damn hair and don't dress like you push a shopping cart filled with trash around dark alleys.

Pashmina: NYC street vendor
Sweater: Ann Taylor Loft
Top: Old Navy (clearance!)
Jeans: Nordstrom Rack
Flats: Super old Steve Madden (to this day, I don't understand why I wear these or even own them because I think they are hideous)
