Daily Outfit - Kate - 2/16/11

HOLY CRAP!!!! IS THAT...DAYLIGHT?!?!?!

IT IS! IT IS!

(It's also the dry, stalk-y dredges of last year's garden. Sorry. I'm a lazy-ass and a failure as a human being, clearly.)

I love this skirt - this photo really doesn't do it justice, but I just have to say - I'm almost ashamed that I let it languish, unworn, in my closet for so long. I'm sorry, skirt. Forgive me?

(PS>I love how you can see my little green Mazda, Ahura, hanging out down on the street. High, Ahura! Sorry I only drive you once every 3 weeks or so!)

Daily Outfit - Kate - 1/6/11

I have no idea what I was wearing on Thursday. I mean, I have a picture (clearly)...

But I have nothing clever about how I came up with the outfit, or that I liked it, or that I hated it, or anything. It is a perfect exercise in utter neutrality of emotion.

Exciting, huh?

A good shawl pin is an invaluable accessory, I'm learning. Which makes me want moar! moar! moar!

Daily Outfit - Kate - 12/21/10

I got a compliment on my scarf tie at work today.

It was pretty awesome.

And now if you'll excuse me, I need to go eat peanut butter fudge and watch The Wizard of Oz.

It's tough being me.

Daily Outfit - Kate - 11/30/10

Behold, my masterpiece:

OK not really but doesn't that at least sound impressive?

I did like this outfit, though - it was a great and cozy color palette, with the cheerful orange pashmina, teal turtleneck and colorful plaid skirt. Yep, this is about as bold as I ever get.

Daily Outfit - Kate - 11/16/10

We went to THE CONCERT on Tuesday night! (It was ossum. I'm going to blog about it on KateOhKatie later.)

So I wore my most rockstar outfit.

Sad that my most rockstar outfit involves tweed, a turtleneck, and handknits - BUT THAT'S HOW I ROLL, YO.

Of course, the Fluevogs totally make up for any other want of rockstar-ed-ness. Yes they do.

(Side note - Wozzie like to lick the floor. Wozzie no smart.)

Daily Outfit - Kate - 7/7/10

OMG I can't believe I'm actually showing you this.

WORST HAIR EVER. WORST POSE EVER. WORST EXPRESSION EVER.

But a cute outfit. Even if I did look vaguely Amish on the webcam tonight (Jeff even said so. The fact that I was shoveling macaroni and cheese in my mouth and singing along to Lady Gaga at the same time must not've factored into his assessment.)

I dunno. Headband? Turtleneck? Plus I guess with the Friendship Bread, I can see it...

Daily Outfit - Kate - 3/19/10

I went back and forth about posting this outfit - yeah it's just another turtleneck + jeans + cowboy boots + shawl. But I've gotta be honest about the awesome outfits and the not-so-awesome ones, so here it is.

And even if my outfit wasn't the most creative, isn't my big blonde accessory adorable?

The outfit wasn't a total loss, though. I'm wearing my new Citron shawl, and I actually figured out a way to style this dinky little thing so it's not *completely* useless!

Love that little flower clip, and I'm glad to be able to wear it for its prettiness *and* usefulness!

Turtleneck: Target
Jeans: Levi's 518's
Boots: Ariat Legend in "Brown Oiled Rowdy"
Shawl: Citron, knitted by me
Clip: Denielly at that craft show last fall

Daily Outfit - Kate - 2/23/10

I'm about a billion times happier with today's pictures than with yesterdays, though it's not like I like the outfit all that much more or anything.

This was pretty basic, but I really just wanted to wear the shawl - I call this my 'Stardust Shawl' because the color reminds me of Una's dress in Stardust, and it's one of my favorites :-)

This is how I wear it when I've got my coat on:

Bandana style, with my pin clipped in front so it doesn't get squished. Then when I get to work/home/whatever, I switch it like this:

which I think is a little bit more visually interesting.

The little flower pin is one of my favorite accessories; I bought it from a friend I made at a craft fair last fall. The clip is wrapped in grosgrain ribbon so it could be used as a hair clip, but I always use mine on handknit shawls and scarves :-)
