I've had this pair of slacks sitting on our entryway table for probably 3 weeks. So far, seeing them sitting there everyday has not motivated me to drop them off at the dry cleaner's. Neither has the fact that I haven't been able to wear them for 6 months been any motivation whatsoever.

I think something is wrong with me?

As if my lack of posting hasn't been any indication, I've been supremely uninspired lately. I think I'm okay at putting normal-looking outfits together, but obviously I'm no fashionista. Neither you nor I have ever claimed to be, right? Hence, our blog.

Anyway, I've said this before and will say it again: I know what good and bad editorials look like and can style a shoot if needed, but good lord, I cannot get creative with my own wardrobe! I'm bummed. Not really, actually. That's pretty dramatic, but you know what I mean.

I cleaned out my closet this weekend - I specifically targeted clothes that I do not wear, but this morning I found myself thinking, "Damn. Now I have no clothes." What difference did the clean-out make? I never wore that stuff anyway!

Soooo, in my desperation to find an excuse for my lackluster sartorial performance, I've decided that I need more slacks. I think I'm a pant-lady and not a skirt-lady, even though I would really like to be a skirt-lady*. I'm just going to be honest, here: I just don't shave my legs often enough to wear skirts regularly. Sue me. But not really, because then I would actually be bummed.

In honor of Washington's birthday, I wore a Snuggie for the better part of the day. When I was forced to actually leave the house to buy dog food, I looked like trash. But I guess since I was wearing a bra, it wasn't a total loss, eh?

On to pressing matters: I need to know immediately if your Florida trip will or will not include a visit to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter. I will also need to know whether or not you will be wearing your Snitch necklace and/or earrings on this trip. Thank you.

Remember last summer when we were complaining about the heat and how much harder it is to dress fashionably when you can't layer? I was so looking forward to the cooler months so that I could layer to my heart's content, and I am now realizing that I forgot how. I've been dressing down-right terribly and blaming it on the cold weather, except... eh, wasn't it cold last winter, too? Excuses, shmexcuses! I need to get it together.

One year ago, we started our journey to Styledom. I have definitely made a few detours along the way (good god, some really really really reallllllly bad detours), but I am glad to have a passenger with a fashion compass to get me back on track and to advise when my style expiration sticker has expired. Those fashion police are no fun.

Can you believe it's been almost a year since we started Two Closets? Can you believe how anticlimactic my outfit debut for 2011 was? Oh, that's right. I've posted a total of zero outfits this week. It's like I'm a crazy person, and by "crazy," I mean "lazy." The holidays beat the hell out of me, yo.

I loved reading your resolutions for this blog. As for myself, my main goal is to improve my photos. One aspect of that is obviously working on the actual photography bit, but I want to loosen up a bit and try to be freer and have more fun with them. Know what I mean, jellybean?

I love that you emailed me to check that I'd gotten a tripod for Christmas - I think that illustrates just how dire the photo situation has been on my end. I'm so glad that I did get one. I played around with it earlier, and now I am realizing that what I need to work on are my poses. (Wannabe) fashion blogging is SO hard!

You are off from work this entire week, aren't you? I am insanely jealous. Going back to work after a 4-day weekend blows. After a regular weekend it blows, too.

I think at this point it's safe to say that you and I are both just counting down until Friday, right?

I just want to curl up next to a fire and roast vegan marshmallows. Or I can just leave a marshmallow outdoors to bake since the high tomorrow is 83*.

I really want to unwrap the present that is now unquestionably a tripod (Jarod forgot that I see the credit card statement when I pay the bill, ha.) but I think I can hold tight for a few more days. I THINK.

Remember a long time ago when I vowed to post every day this week? Yeah, so I'm pretty sure that I am the only person in the entire universe who could forget this, but... Guess what I wore today! The gorgeous invisibility cloak*! I was telling a coworker that a friend knit it for me, and she was shocked because it is just so beautiful. She was also probably a little shocked that anyone would make anything for me. I am known around the office as "Dark Heart."

Oh my gosh, I am so in love with the cooler weather. Part of it is that now I can dress in cute fall clothes, but another part of it is that sub-70* weather is a relief. I am in Texas, after all.

I really needed the hour that we gained this weekend. Who isn't happy about that? But one thing I failed to realize until around 6:15 this evening when I walked out of my office is that... whoa, it is now pitch black when I leave work! Sucks for pictures, playa.

I am going to not post outfit pictures tonight. I am going to cite the aforementioned lack of daylight as reasoning, but I really just don't like my outfit. Forgive?
