We went to THE CONCERT on Tuesday night! (It was ossum. I'm going to blog about it on KateOhKatie later.)

So I wore my most rockstar outfit.



Sad that my most rockstar outfit involves tweed, a turtleneck, and handknits - BUT THAT'S HOW I ROLL, YO.

Of course, the Fluevogs totally make up for any other want of rockstar-ed-ness. Yes they do.

My original plan today was to where this shirt tucked in with a belt and my cute Target boots. Obviously, I deviated from that plan - like that time I planned to go to Penn State and become a meteorologist... And then I didn't. But a linguistics degree is totally useful, right? Right!

Do you know what's REALLY useful? A Caramello. Or mint chocolate chip ice cream. Or both. What am I saying? They're not useful, but man they're freaking good.

Tuesday, I was "J. Crew." Today, the president of my company used the following to describe me.

I think it's time I retire this shirt. It's too short and makes me look like a dirty musician. Apparently.

I cried when my coworker, Misti, surprised me with this crane necklace for my birthday. She made it for me. Who am I to deserve this amazing piece of art! I love it beyond words.

I was at Fry's this evening and noticed that my right sandal is broken. Suckage and sadness. That's one way to force me into varying my shoes, because if you haven't noticed, I've been wearing these just about every ding dang dong day.

'Tis a shame, because I think this outfit - with corduroy and woven cotton, and comfy summery flats - perfectly embodied A. from Academichic's recent discussion about summer/fall transitional outfits.

I could go into a bunch of detail here but really it just boils down to: I missed my corduroy skirt. I like this top. It's cold so I wear a cardigan.

Oh, man. By 9:45 tonight, I was looking and feeling like poo. I won't even be surprised if I find actual poo on me, later. After a longer-than-usual day at work, Jarod drove me 30 minutes away (he's pretty cool) for my first assignment with the rescue we're volunteering for, now! I spent about an hour rolling around outdoors taking pictures of Lulu, a sweet pittie girl who's (likely) being returned to rescue by her family (people suck). THEN, we drove 25 minutes even further away to pick up some donated items from a very nice lady!

After writing all of that out, I'm realizing that this outfit was pretty ding dang dong practical.
